Cycle Palestine

In recent years, cycling and the bike in general, have become a social phenomenon. We get many emails telling us about initiatives on social issues where the bicycle is the means used to unite people in charitable initiatives, epic adventure or trips just for fun.

One of the last projects that attracted our attention is Cycle Palestine: 25 riders from the UK organized a route on the West Bank of Palestine, across the country and riding for several days by a conflicted land with the beneficial purpose of helping the Medical Aid for Palestine.

They managed to raise over 100,000 pounds during this trip destined to the aid of thousands of Palestinians homeless.

Faraz Fahd is one of the participants of this project and contacted us to try to give more visibility to this great initiative. Faraz, unlike their trip mates, completed the distance with his fixed gear bike, in this case is not the heart of the matter, beyond kilometers and performance, what has surprised us a lot is certainly see how far this modality goes further, it is seeping unstoppably in every corner that cycling covers.

In short, 220km in 6 days with 4.000m of gradient, riding in Palestine for peace and with the intention of helping people who for years suffered oppression in their homeland.

  • Day 1: Jenin to Nablus
  • Day 2: Nablus to Taybeh
  • Day 3: Taybeh to Jericho
  • Day 4: Jericho to Bethlehem
  • Day 5: Bethlehem to Hebron
  • Day 6: Hebron to Jerusalem

Thanks to Faraz for contacting us, and pedalling and working hard for such a noble cause.
