DSNV RUNS JAPAN

Fortunately, there are many bicycle brands and is a reality that each has its own personality and philosophy.

There are a few examples that have achieved to take their brand to the maximum power … and the team of Dosnoventa is one of them. They have seen that behind every good frame there is much more, which are able to create something broader and can become in a lifestyle, a word as simple as lifestyle with more and more people are identified.

They have traveled around the world as great ambassadors of Dosnoventa attending races, fairs, or simply trips for fun representing their own brand and philosophy of life. Between the most outstanding, we found your visit to Monaco few years ago, the visit to the big city of New York or also Dubai, and recently Gijón, Germany and LasVegas.

The ultimate destination they have announced a few days ago is Japan, a journey that will be all the members of the family (Juan, Juanma, Dani and Uri) as the main actors and in which will accompany them their team of filmakers: Sergi Castellà (co-director), Xavi Trilla (editor) and Hector Ferreño (co-director), responsible of not losing details ofthis new episode of DSNV RUNS.

Once in the country of the rising sun awaits them, plus lots of followers of the brand, Naoya Ishimaro, store owner of Brotures, Dosnoventa official distributor in Japan, and the famous Hip-Hop singer Aklo, both friends of the rest of the team and passionates of the brand. All together will travel the most inhospitable corners of this awsome country.

Why not, for their arrival are already preparing a good welcome party of those to which we are accustomed, as the preparty RHC Barcelona in where they bundled up, with a lot of assistance and where was not missing anything, above all beer andgood music.

Respect to the video they have revealed that will come with new technical level and that this edition will be quite different to that of previous trips. For the moment and, as advance, we can let you with a brief interview that we have been able to make to Hector Ferreño, co-director and the recording equipment. Seewho tells us:

1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us a little about your collaboration with Dosnoventa all this time?

My name is Hector Ferreño and I am a photographer and filmmaker. In early 2009 I began to record the small (for that time) fixed scene of Barcelona so I can say I saw gestate, birth and grow Dosnoventa, as in his day Cream Bikes and Things. During this long period of time I have been lucky to meet people how the components of Dosnoventa, in addition to Xavi Trilla and Sergi Castellà, with whom I’ve shared travel and friendship and translate into jobs like DSNV RUNS NEW YORK or WE WERE NEVER BORN of Lacoste Live x Dosnoventa.

2. How do you do to capture the communicative power of the boys and bikes Dosnoventa during your trips?

They have a strong and powerful aesthetic. If anything characterizes my work and my passion is the search of the aesthetic and enhance that’s fundamental. And if you also add that the base of all of this is sports, sharing a passion and enjoy, what better way to capture ittraveling.

3. DSNV RUNS JAPAN. Dosnovena and Japan, an explosive mixture. What is thefirst image that comesto your mind?

Although the combination of these elements we can send to the culture of Keirin and the craftsman, however, the imagethat comesto mind is a retro-futuristic, adding Akira with Blade Runner; night, cigarettes and style. A Porsche Carrera 964 Turbo.

4. What can youtell us aboutthe video shoot?

For the video tour DSNV RUNS JAPAN, we inspire us both in the classic skate videos with current look like Palace for example that follow the aesthetic of the 90’s like the dynamism of oldschool hip hop music videos. That dynamism is just what sends us to the pure and hard part of the sport, speed and quality with the dslr and glidecams and in contrast we have that one aesthetic which brings us to the more organic and personal part, enhanced by Hi8 cameras, those which were used not so many years ago to capture your first performance at school as your cousin’s wedding.
