Barcelona, pedals and vermouth

What if you join together bikes, vermouth and a city like Barcelona? So that leaves a funny and crazy as it is FIXED’N’VERMUT race.

The FIXED’N’VERMUT apparently a more alleycat but if you really dare to participate, you will realize that it’s much more than that.

Defined as a race strategy rather than speed. It is composed of five checkpoints, in this case, five wineries located in different points of Barcelona by each rider must pass to go on. Four of the wineries and the name and location is known but there is a fifth who is not revealed until the moment of departure.

Besides the time to travel the different checkpoints, also comes into play the factor points.

They have devised a system in which each rider will get points depending on arrival at each winery. The first rider to reach the control will receive 10 points, second 9, the third 8 and so on until the tenth rider, from all who come here will get 1 point. Along with the points that everyone can get depending on how quickly you reach each of the checkpoints, also have the ability to get 5 extra points just for taking the vermouth in the cellar. A great way to give a touch of grace to this particular race.

This year, like last year, the awards loom large because Finna Cycles, Knog, Mulebar, Iguapop Shop, DePelea and many other sponsors who support this sensational event.

Registration can be done from the page itself www.fixednvermut.com or the day before the race. The price is 5 euros and includes insurance.

At the end of day, there will be a party at Backdoor where there will be awards accompanied by good music, exposure exclusively and for the first time in Barcelona of paintings/boards by Manu Campa, a Track-stand contest and, as it could be otherwise, vermouth for everybody thanks to Casa Mariol.
