Fixed Days and RAD RACE – Día 2

Yesterday continued the bike polo tournaments, freestyle and minidrome, and all the stands of shops and brands were already in full and showing their products and next developments.

The venue was full, people didn’t want to miss anything and there always there were competitions, shows, playing videos, etc .

Despite all that we could see, we believe that the highlight of yesterday took him the RAD RACE.

By 04:30 pm started training , the first riders ride the circuit and completed the first laps around the circuit. A super technical and explosive route, pure acceleration and heavy braking, a path with 30 curves where the riders couldn’t relax even for a moment.

The rankings began and were going round to round the top four riders each. The race format was really picky, you couldn’t sleep for a single second because the aggressiveness of the riders and the pressure of knowing that at every lap the last one left off, in what became pure hell .

One of the surprises were the riders with double height handlebars and bicycle tricks, where a twisty circuit and the ability to roll with a more aggressive driving, allowed ranking well in the race and protect his position until the end .

The eight finalists who made ​​it to the final round were:

  • Philipp Köhler (St. Pauli Team Suicycle)
  • Yvo Kinkel (F.A.S.T. Amsterdam)
  • Carlos Serra (Team Good Times Roll)

  • Mario Hernández (Mad City Rides)

For the big final, the riders should be given a total of 7 laps giving everything so that only last man standing: the winner.

All riders had made very good rounds and the final promised .

Started out career and was instrumental in defining the group head . The aggressiveness of the riders at the first corner made ​​it clear that no one wanted to be left out.

The 8bar team tried to escape seizing the top spot but Mario (Mad City Rides) not made ​​it easy . Lap by lap second place between Mario and Stefan were played while Max kept its first position and tried to get away .

Mario and your tricks bike and managed to take second place and go for Max. Stefan was not so lucky and, after saving a fall, could not continue because of a problem with his bicycle, a shame .

The race continued and the two riders in head down not up. The building went down, people were screaming, they were cheering, and the riders did the last effort.

Finally , the victory went to Max Baginski of 8bar bikes Team after a fast and hard race, and the second position to Mario Hernández of Mad City Rides, which provided a show during all the race.

For the girls, the riders of the final were:

The final round was also very exciting. Mianzi quickly positioned itself at the head of the race but the other riders fought hard to get a good result.

Steff Gutovska (Mad City Rides) managed to get second place and leave behind Claudia Weiss (Gorilla Urban Cycling). For several laps held the position but lack a few laps, she made ​​a fault and suffered a fall which allowed Claudia overcome .

The overall winner of the final was Mianzi Rei of Schindelhauer bikes thanks to the great career he did.

After both finals, the prizes and after the party arrived. Good music, beer, good clima and eager to have fun. A great way to end the day.
