Tibidabo Hill Climb Vol.III Nothing can stop it!

One of the things that worry you when you organize a race is the weather. It is very common that in the week prior to the event, you spend the day checking the weather forecast hoping that nothing will be twisted at the last moment.

This is usually the most typical case, but this year we realized that there is evidence to bad weather suits them very well. Tibidabo Hill Climb certainly is one of them.

In its third edition, the organizers of the chrono-climbing par excellence of Barcelona ​​chose to advance the date of the race and take advantage of the good weather in early November. The event, despite minimal diffusion done, was a success, that’s undeniable, but it is true that we miss the icy cold of years and, why not, a few drops of rain to give him a more epic feel.

On the contrary and, through no fault of the organization, they were forced to move the finish line about 50 meters higher, thus prolonging the agony and suffering of the riders to reach the glory.

There were a total of 84 participants divided into 4 categories, more women are encouraged to participate, the variety of bikes increases and the faithful and tireless friends of the handbike don’t miss any edition of this great race.

Regarding the results, in the category Free-ride we saw a lot of riders struggling to achieve the best time but in the end the victory was for Maarten Klijnstra with a time of 0:13:19.

In the women category, the top two were disputed between Nicole Lewis and Francisca Campos (RAW Santafixie Team), with a difference of 10 seconds between both and a third place for the tireless Marce (Chicken Legs Team).

In the Medium category there was also a good fight for first place, this time between Paul Moorage and Daniel Canalís, both from the Terrassa Fixed, who they left every ounce of effort to get an amazing time.

Finally, in the premier class, the young Roberto Bou met expectations and achieved a fantastic time of 0:13:05 which, although not beat his time last year, this time it was enough to get the victory.
