In RAW, we have previously talked to you about the framebuilder Festka. The Czech brand is one of the few manufacturers capable of building carbon frames on-demand with such high-quality standards and, within their customization options, there exists a higher level of superiority called Festka Prime bike.
The demand in the custom bicycle market is increasing and every day we are observing a broader range of available offers and more manufacturing. The people from Prague take this customization to the extreme (in a good sense), defining Festka Prime as art masterpieces. Not in vain, in their design and production, the creative team collaborates with artists to make unique pieces.
After Festka Spectre Porcelain, the second prime bike is based on their model Scalatore, the lightest frame of the brand. On this occasion, through a collaboration with the illustrator Michal Bačák, they are introducing a design with Asian dyes inspired by samurai themes. Nine months were required to manufacture and decorate the frame, which result, according to us, is spectacular. This how the Festka Scalatore Samurai edition looks like.
As it is typical of the brand, the set of components of the bike are at the same level as the frame itself. Campagnolo EPS groupset, Lightweight wheels with Tufo tires, and custom cockpit and saddle post from Shmolke and THM, respectively. The whole final build weights less than 7 kg with hydraulic brakes.
As you might have guessed, the final price of this Festka, though not revealed yet, is not negligible. However, as we were saying, this is a growing market with its own customers. We are looking forward to the next Prime creation, in which art and cycling blend together creating a symbiotic relationship where uniqueness at its finest is guaranteed.
