After more than a decade of telling stories from the cycling scene in digital form, our magazine is making its leap to print. We are proud to present Issue Zero – Stepping into the Unknown, the inaugural edition of our physical magazine, which is now available to order.
The decision to start crafting printed issues marks an important milestone in our journey. Born in Barcelona in 2013, RAW Magazine grew from the fixed-gear scene, which was pulsing through the streets back then. Since then, we’ve evolved into an online magazine that celebrates the full spectrum of cycling culture — from road to gravel, from product reviews to interviews, from local adventures to global expeditions. Our writing process has always strived for timeless stories complemented by high-quality photo content, and all content is available in English and Spanish, which justifies our decision. Now, with Issue Zero, that evolution takes on a tangible form.
Why print, and why now?
We have always believed in storytelling that stands the test of time. In a world of endless scrolling, short-span attention and fleeting headlines, we wanted to offer something slower, more reflective — something that can be held in your hands, carried on a ride, or revisited while sipping a coffee.
Issue Zero is an ode to the stories we’ve told online, carefully selected and reimagined for the printed page, along with exclusive content you won’t find anywhere else. It’s a return to the palpable, the permanent, the beautifully designed. Printed in Barcelona and designed by the talented Sheila Dobón, the magazine brings our values and vision into a format we’ve dreamed about for years.
What’s inside Issue Zero?
This first edition features cycling stories that take you far off the beaten path. We explore the less-traveled roads of Colombia and Montenegro, uncovering their unique cycling landscapes. Even familiar climbs in the Alps reveal new layers when approached with a gravel mindset. These are not your typical routes — they’re invitations to rethink adventure on two wheels.
Alongside travel features, you’ll find deep-dive interviews with individuals and brands, enriched by quality photography from Brazo de Hierro, Toni de la Torre, and Javi Angulo.
