Asturias and its mountains stole our hearts, and everything we experienced there will be forever engraved in our memory. Still, when we close our eyes, we are able to remember the smell of wet grass first thing in the morning or feel the fresh air of northern Spain hitting our faces. It will be difficult to leave all that behind.

It’s been a while since we returned from this incredible adventure and we have to admit that it hasn’t been easy to find the formula that best expresses everything that happened in the sixth edition of Among the Giants. However, it has been worth the wait. Otherwise, not sharing this beautiful story with all our readers would have made us really selfish.

2023 has challenged us in several ways, and making sure that a new edition of a project as important as ATG could take place was not a simple task. It entails a lot of effort and headaches but, despite all this, the enthusiasm and joy of each one of the participants compensate for the sacrifices made the days and months before D-day.

Once again we have relied on our friends at Fluke Visuals to take care of the cinematography and Iván Arribas for the photography. With this piece, you can have a small sample of this incredible region in northern Spain. The immensity and exposed roads leading to the top of La Cubilla, the extreme steepness of the feared Angliru, the misty ascent to El Gamoniteiro literally, or the non-stop rain that followed us during the last day of this unforgettable edition.
